Easter went well. We got there in good time to get our pew this morning. Maggie had a mini-corsage, with a matching bigger one to give to her godmother. They looked so cute.
I'd had the Hallelujah Chorus playing in my head as an earworm on the way to church - not typical, but certainly appropriate. Then this morning after the Peace, for the Offertory, the choir launched into it. So of course I popped up to my feet. (Yes, I'm not usually standing even during all the portions of the service that we usually stand for, just because the pregnancy is wiping me out so much - but this is TRADITION!)
Shortly we were all standing and turned to the choir loft. I expect a few of the squirrels
( joke explanation here ) may have thought "oh, they stand during offertory?" Heh.
I think they did that for offertory last year, too - vague memory - perhaps my subconscious remembered and that's what got it playing in my head in the van this morning.
Anyway, pretty tired out after church. Got through the Sunday school program, took pictures, then we came home, fed me some breakfast, and let me and Jamie nap. We postponed the Easter egg hunt until later in the afternoon when
fordprfct could get over after his family's group lunch to help. No bending over to hide eggs for me right now.

For anyone who wants to see how much they've grown - here's the few pics I got of last year's Easter egg hunt -
