stupid phone
Jul. 17th, 2007 04:54 pmOkay, that's IT, we're throwing this black phone AWAY! It just rang - mind you, it's been on the charger all day - I picked it up, said hello, heard "Hi, it's Judy from Dr. Pars-" and it died.
I know
rlseiver and
bkseiver have a pair of vtech cordless phones like mine that work just fine. But this one is AWFUL. IIRC, we've already replaced the rechargable battery in there once. This thing is just a damned lemon.
Ironically, the old bigger cordless phone that we've had for years, which had been in the study and has recently moved to the library, works great. It was boxed for a year or so, and we did get a new battery for it when we started using it again, and it's held charge great since then.
Anybody want to recommend anything good?
I dunno, sometimes I think, what with the promotional cheap period on our phone service through the cable company going away next month, maybe we should just kill the landline entirely. I suck at carrying my cellphone around all the time, though - the things really are designed for geek guys who always have pants/shorts with a belt for the case.
