Kewpie girl

Alanna's hair at the top of her head seems to be competing curls (waves? sticky up bits, anyway) right now. There is no direction that I can smooth it down that doesn't shove up some of the rest of it.

I am suddenly understanding the appeal of kewpie dolls, which I never had before.
