what the car company needs to make next
Jan. 11th, 2005 01:53 pmSo we're back in Zachary from the side trip to Atlanta. GAFilk was great. We had a WONDERFUL time, and I hope to write about it later. Some day when I'm not totally brain dead. Apparently the massive sleep debt I have run up on this trip is having a balloon payment today. (plus the ongoing sleep debt, plus wanting to take care of everybody, plus 12 hours on the road yesterday) I seem incapable of multitasking today, and very short on brain, and it's disturbing. So
selenite is taking on a lot of today's tasks.
In addition to laundry, taking Katherine for an oil change, and repacking, he has to play a puzzle game figuring out how everything fits in the van.
The van was pretty darn full on the trip TO Zachary, where it was just me and the two babies. We had it packed to the gills and stuff strapped on top. Now there's also
Seriously, this is going to be tough. I think the boxes are going to get shipped UPS, and possibly another box full of stuff, too. But still, even with a minivan and strapping stuff to the roof, it's going to be tricky.
What we need here is a Tardis. Yeah, new van model, the Dodge Tardis.
selenite got a dreamy look in his eyes and said yeah, he'd buy one!

selenite - and the stuff he took as carryon in the plane trip here,
- various Xmas presents, some good sized - Maggie's new doll, her big pooh bear, Jamie's Stitch, Jamie's push toy, etc.
- the doll cradle that was mine as a baby that Mom's giving Maggie (almost big enough for a real baby)
- two boxes of stuff marked "hold for Laura" from my parents move - moving box size
- my younger sister Robyn, who's coming to visit for a few weeks (hm, perhaps I should drag her into LJ)
- Robyn's stuff - thank goodness she packs light
- the computer, monitor, and keyboard/mouse that
joyeuse13 gave us, so that we can be a two-computer household now (THANK you, m'dear!) - more books given to us on the trip

Date: 2005-01-17 01:04 pm (UTC)We took a mini-van full of my stuff and four cats from Austin to NH, when I moved up here. Including one who was "born-feral," and had to be dragged out from under things and stuffed back in his cardboard carrier to get him into the hotel, every night.
Only 3 days, IIRC. I'm glad ze spouse drives fast. O:>
