Sharing cake

selenite was having some cake. Maggie came over to the living room gate to beg a taste. He fed her a bite. Jamie saw this and promptly came over to ask for some, doing a little happy dance. I pointed him out to selenite and said he should give some to Jamie.

Jamie was trying to grab the piece from the fork rather than opening his mouth for a bite. So I was looking at him and doing the open-mouth thing you do for babies to encourage them to open their own mouth. Jamie apparently thought I was asking *him* for some of the cake - and he walked over to me and promptly put the bit of cake he'd gotten from his Daddy into my mouth.

Awww! I insisted selenite give him another bite to reward him for being such a little sweetie.
