I opened the door for the speech therapist an hour ago, and there leaning on the porch pillar was a small UPS package from Harper Collins.

It's here it's Here it's HERE!!!

Happy happy happy dance. I can now stop struggling against paranoid conspiracy theories for why it hadn't arrived yet.

Couldn't open it yet, had to deal with the speech appointment. And now I have to feed the kids lunch. But soon, my precious, soon you and I will have some private time together...

Ooh, that's the new one? I need to go bug [livejournal.com profile] sraun again, he sent me two early Liaden novels, but then talked about possibly using me as a guinea pig for the question of "what would the series experience be like if you started with one of these two new books that are chronologically earliest?" I'm willing, but I hope he gets back to me soon, I've been holding off opening the package.

The book in the package I'm eyeing with pleased anticipation is the ARC for The Hallowed Hunt, Lois McMaster Bujold's upcoming book. I'm one of Harper Collins' First Look reviewers now.

Yeah, but.... I opened it up, to fondle and adore it. (I'm waiting to leap into it until I'm NOT the primary kid caretaker) I have a DEADLINE for the review of April 1st. Agh. I don't know if I can write a good enough review.

Hi [livejournal.com profile] celticdragonfly!

Remind me. I know you told me, but how does one become a reviewer for Harper Collins again? I would love to do something like that in my now copious free time. It would be great for social gatherings, too. ("Read any good books lately?" Me, "You wouldn't believe..."
