Garter GAH

GAH. I'm primarily a sock knitter. Garter stitch is just not part of my usual life. And while I don't mind a few rows of it at a border to prevent rolling (which is what the actual PROJECT will have, once I get through the stupid gauge swatch), overall I find garter stitch ugly.
I can't imagine knitting whole scarves in this without my head exploding.
