Stupid lace throw.

Bloody tedious wide thing, where the markers aren't doing much good because the 8 stitch repeat part moves over every row, so you have to keep moving the markers, and I think I lost track 2 rows ago, because the end of this row didn't come out right. And the directions are fine for the beginning of the row part, but a bit vague on the end of the row part.

I may end up letting this be a slow-progress project, and only do it when I feel reasonably coherent, awake, and uninterrupted (those who know me realize how long it will thereby take), and work on something smaller the rest of the time.

But I am NOT admitting defeat.

I've found that complicated lacy stuff gets easier when I have enough of the piece knit that I can see what the pattern's doing; then I'm more likely to catch myself right after a mistake and well before the end of the row, because I can see that what I'm knitting doesn't fit with what it's supposed to be doing. (Not entirely certain that this sentence makes any sense.)

Yeah, I'm just starting to get to the part where I can see what the pattern is doing. Although really, this is NOT complicated lace - it's only 8 stitches wide and 12 rows long for the repeat.
