Mopping!

Just before the speech therapist got here, Jamie was in his high chair, I was walking about getting stuff put away, and Maggie was playing with her toy mop in the kitchen, back in the area between the high chairs. Well, fine with me, that's a good play. Then I was back at the computer getting something closed down before speech, and I heard this BLOOP-BLOOP-BLOOP-BLOOP-BLOOP-BLOOP-BLOOP sound. Maggie was asking me what it was. I looked up, realized what it was, and told Maggie it was cats' watering dish letting more water into the dish and pulling up bubbles of air. Then I thought wait - if it was just letting down some more water normally I'd hear one or maybe two BLOOPS, and I'm hearing a bunch. What happened here? So I went into the kitchen, and sure enough, Maggie had dipped her mop into the cats' water dish and was wet-mopping the kitchen floor.

I thanked her for mopping, but tried to explain that really, the cats' water dish was NOT for mopping. She's apparently been watching the mopping, though!
