Bother bother bother Very Bad Words.
Jamie has a fever, is cranky and unhappy.
I'm betting he picked it up from another kid at the YMCA daycare. [1]
So now the kid is sick because I was doing something for myself and getting exercise and getting time when the kids were playing with someone else.
And now I won't be able to go to the Y for a while until he's better, I can't take him there sick.
Some days I wonder why I even try. I swear, every time I do stuff for myself, it gets screwed up. And now it's screwing things up for poor Jamie.
[1] For those who aren't on the YMCA filter, I rejoined last weekend, and have gone three times. Swum 3 miles, walked 1.25.

The appropriate reaction is to be grouchy because you're going to catch it next, and that will suck more because adults usually get things worse. O:p At least, that's my experience.
