selenite's new game

selenite got a whole BOX full of goodies from Steve Jackson games today - cashing in his writer's voucher. One of the things he got was a new game, "Space Pirate Amazon Ninja Catgirls" - bought because it was illustrated by Phil Foglio, and hey, we didn't need any more recommendation than that. (Yep. Acronym is SPANC)

We haven't played it yet. But he showed me some of the cards, and I'm entranced.

I've now spent a bunch of the evening that I'd planned to spend in going to bed early, in messing around with my image software. So, GIP. (I made one for tygerr, too, but I don't know if he'll use it or not.)

The nice thing about this is I learned three new helpful things about my gif animation software in the process. So it was a learning experience. Right. Not a waste of time playing with cat and yarn pics while trying not to think about my dentist's appointment in the morning. Educational. Right.

If we play the game and don't like it, that'll probably be it for the icon, but I expect it'll be fun.

I don't sleep a lot. I don't get a lot of sleep even when I go to bed - the kids wake me various times in the night. I should go to bed earlier, but then I lose my kid-free time and my time in selenite's company - he tends to get home late.

But I doubt I've ever posted between 1 am and 7 am - if so, something really weird was going on.
