What particularly impressed me about the Hedwig was the way she stayed in character for most of the night. It's gotta be maddening to only be able to respond to a conversation with "whooooo"...

Your hair looks fabulous in these pictures. You sure you want to change it? Hawks and Laura - reminds me of the hawk counting at Morristown High. What a neat adventure you had (both places, that is)!

Thank you both. But yes, I want to change it - to grow it out longer. As it is, it's heavy and hot on my cheeks in the summer heat, and whenever I'm leaning forward and working on something, it falls into my eyes. I want to grow it out long enough to be able to barrett and ponytail it in back. For Karl's sake, I think I'll try to do that more gently than has been my wont in past long-hair times.

I will admit to vanity about the hair, repeated brushings, and loving the little curls on the back of my neck. There's a layer on top just a little shorter than the rest, with broken ends - I can feel it - and I really ought to chop it all off to that length to help towards the all-one-length goal, but I can't bear to give up those curls just now.
