prenatal nicknames
Aug. 6th, 2003 08:09 amWe have a new nickname for the upcoming baby.
Maggie had been "The Peanut", after her appearance in
the first tiny ultrasound. This one didn't really have a nickname yet, and had just been Whosis.
Last night the baby was kicking, and I was discussing it with Karl. I said it seemed like it shouldn't be much, since the baby is still so small at this stage - only a bit over a pound, probably - but it was still feeling strong. I said that if he had some little mammal about that size in HIS guts, kicking away, it'd feel pretty weird to him. We were discussing what mammal could be about that size, and Karl said rabbits could be that size. I agreed that rabbits would go well with all this kicking.
So Karl leaned over and addressed my belly as "Thumper".
I think it's perfect.
