Just after I got out of a shower that [livejournal.com profile] selenite helped give me - O Bliss! - and was getting dressed, the doorbell rang. [livejournal.com profile] maggieallen got it and [livejournal.com profile] selenite went downstairs to investigate. It was for me, from a gourmet company in California. Once opened, it proved to be ordered through Amazon, and it was chocolate. Valrhona chocolate. Two little adorable tins, one with little squares of milk chocolate and one with little squares of dark chocolate. I am so cheeful! Valrhona is fantastic, and I love the little tins.

No sign of a sender's name. I don't know who sent it to me. Whoever did, thank you! I will enjoy it very much.

EDIT: I have found out who the sender is. THANK YOU! You are a sweet, cheeful, wonderful person and made me feel very happy and special. Wow, I got flowers AND chocolate this week, I am special. Hugs to the wonderful people who made me feel that way.

TRF = Texas Renaissance Festival. Which, as far as I know, is the largest one in the state, if not our whole region. I haven't been since junior high, though I'd love to get back to it.

Doing RenFaire in the fall when it's cool has got to be more comfortable than Scarbie usually is.

Ah. I've been twice to the one down by Waxahatchie. [livejournal.com profile] selenite and I used to work the small Renfaire circuit in southern California together, in a couple Irish guilds. That's one of the ways we got to know each other, and where we started "dating", as it were. We gave it up and went back to the SCA a year or so before we got married, and well, now that we've moved to Texas we've given that up too. But there's still garb in the closet. First renfaire trip we garbed up, this last one we didn't.

"Chocolate at my doorstep makes me happy!"

But does it cause you to pick subjects lines that could be filked to John Denver tunes ? Or is that just the pain medication... :-)

Chocolate can make you do all sorts of wild and bouncy things! Do Not Underestimate the Power of Chocolate!

Especially Valrhona and Lindt truffles.

Ah - but was it a deliberate fit to a certain song or have I just been hanging around with the wrong crowd lately ? ;-)

It just happened. I was thinking wow, I'm so happy to have chocolate! I had chocolate turn up on my doorstep. And it happened.

See, chocolate on my doorstep only makes the Dear Husband happy. Now beer, say, or whiskey...
