Pre-ordered on Amazon, it has in fact shipped and should be in my mail box today. ::squee!::
Over in the filk topic, they are writing the rest of the "River River" song, to the tune of the "Llama Llama" song of which I wrote a couple weeks ago. I think they are using one of my verses. Yay!
Spoiler: . . . . . . . River is made entirely of chocolate. [grin, duck, run]
I'm getting it for my fiance, which is just like getting it for myself because we live together, only it's a gift for someone else so it's selfless and thoughtful. Win!
I plan to watch it. And cry.
Actually, we're seeing my parents on Christmas Day and I might bring it along because my mom loves Star Wars and Buffy, but never saw any Firefly and I think she'd like it.
Yay converting family. I gave the DVD series to my parents last year. My dad liked some, my mom didn't (I think Bushwhacked put her off - pity, I SO wanted her to see Ariel) and my sister is totally hooked.
Tried getting into the leftover chocolate chips from fudge, but those are more an ingredient tasting chocolate... and there's a bowl of chocolate in the fridge, but that's specially for the chocolate fountain, and oh there's that other chocolate, but no, that's for someone's present...
Well, first I got the first DVD via Netflix. I watched a couple of episodes and I agree, it has charm, but I didn't get hooked. I didn't finish all of the episodes on that disk and didn't get any more. Then, recently, I looked at some of the re-runs. Again, I got through a couple of episodes and then stopped. Getting jaded, I suppose.
I like the review of Serenity and look forward to seeing it. Depending on my reaction, I may go back to the series. If so, I will heed your advice and pay attention to order :<) .
Didn't get to Best Buy before work and it will be long closed when I get off work. If HEB has it available (i.e., if I can get one of the night guys to open up the new-DVD room) when I stop there on the way home tonight, I'll probably get it there.
