WTF moment

celticdragonflyMotion past the window here into the back yard just caught my eye. There was a dog in our backyard. A large yellow lab-type dog. This had Karina's total attention. I realized that the neighbors behind us have a hole in the bottom of their fence. Darn. Karl is going to have to fix that. The dog can go in and out of it easily. I think it just absconded with one of the kids' balls. Definitely the kids are not going out there to play this afternoon.
EDIT: there, I went over to that house. Got just two kids - latchkey, I suspect. It was a bit surreal, as when asked if they had a yellow lab one was saying no and the other yes. Once we got that clear the boy was talking about needing to crawl through into my yard. I suggested he'd probably come if they called him. By the time I was leaving they had, and in fact he'd run through their open garage and out side and they had to chase him back in. Hopefully they'll keep him inside until adults come home.
