I just got one of THESE!

cawti posted about them and I decided I really wanted one.

Now I want a good excuse for a castle cake.

And little plastic knights. And flaggie things for the turrets.

The lady at the shop said she knew someone that made one for a beach-themed party, as a sandcastle, and put little chocolate shells all around it. I saw a picture of one done with whipped cream and strawberries in the middle, and a strawberry embedded in cream at each turret.

I could use that thin vanilla glaze from the Aunt Barb's Bars recipe for frosting...

Squee! I SO want such a pan, now!

Or, more realistically - I want someone local to have such a pan so that I might be able to persuade him/her to make birthday cakes :-)

Oh, how cool! We wanted a castle shaped wedding cake, but you'd be amazed how much that sort of thing costs.

You don't need an excuse to make a cake! Just do it as a surprise for your kids, your hubby, your neighbor, yourself. :)
