Housefilk!

We will be hosting a housefilk on Saturday, Feb. 18th. We'll be starting singing at 6. People can come a bit earlier. (Want to help tidy up? Come lots earlier! ;-) )

It will be a themed filk, for the Valentine's Day holiday.

• Tender love songs,
• bereft love songs
• weird love songs
• downright bizarre and creepy love songs!

Bring out the Tom Lehrer, and all that. I just know filkers won't let me down on this.

We'll probably sing other songs, too, but let's see what we can come up with for the theme. Come and bring your singing voice, your instrument if you play one, your filk books, munchies or drinks, bring a friend, but know that all of those are optional. But definitely bring yourself! Come ready to pick, pass, play and enjoy. Leave me a comment and an email address for directions if you need 'em.

Oh crap. It's Sunday morning that's going to be the problem. I WILL be going to 8 am Sunday service, I'm the lector.

I don't think getting there Saturday afternoon will be any big deal based on the present forecast. Getting home late Saturday / early Sunday could be a bit more challenging. Still too early to know for sure. Winter weather around here is always tricky to forecast accurately.

Hopefully NWS is overstating the forecast out of caution again.
