Birthday presents

This year my birthday has gotten all spread out, and I get to keep having the fun a lot longer!

phoenixsinger sent me the Serenity graphic novel! Yay. Heh. We hooked her on Firefly, y'know. And it took very well. Heh.

purplerozez gave me my birthday present Wednesday night. A beautiful necklace. The pendant is a rose in a circle carved out of mother of pearl, I think, or something similar. It's gorgeous, I'd seen it in her collection and admired it. The necklace is amethyst and black freshwater pearl. It ROCKS.

And purplerozez, drgnmoonshadow and Kit gave selenite his birthday present - Munchkin. selenite and fordprfct talked me into playing it with them. I wasn't sure I was going to admit it at first, but I really had fun. (Although I'm still gonna get selenite for taking away my cleric card)

Aw, think of it as a compliment. It's just his way of saying that you've got more 'class' than he does.

Hmph. I'd been sitting there with an unusable +4 mace - only for clerics - and the +3 Cheese Grater of Peace, also only usable by clerics, and I WANTED to be a cleric. And I GOT it! And then on Karl's turn he took it away. AND the Elf race card.

That's okay. It came back to my turn, I glared at him, pushed ALL my treasure cards in for sale, which was exactly enough to get me two more levels and win the game.

First reaction: Good for you, and serves him right.

Second reaction: If you read the fine print, I believe you are required to reach Level 10 by defeating a monster--you can't buy it via cashing in treasure. (#2 Son went through the rules with an eye for detail after about the third consecutive time I used that very tactic.)
