Last night in the wee hours I heard a child fuss, and went to check. It must have been Maggie, Jamie looked deeply out. Maggie had scooted down all the way to the foot of the bed, with her pillow still under her head, but her feet against the foot of the bed, in that cute little on-chest-and-knees position kids sleep in sometimes. Next to here Rorik was lying, also partially on the pillow. I swear, that cat is watching over her.

I got the pillow moved up, and shifted her up. That woke her enough to ask "where are we going, Mama?" "nowhere, dear, we're home, time to go to sleep. Good night." "Oh, good night, Mama." And I tucked the blankets over her.

She's doing much better than Jamie, who keeps going with the stripping-nude stuff and wetting beds, sigh.

BunnyBright gave me the same sort of grief with her bedtime antics until my mom made me a sleep suit for her out of soft 2-way stretch knit. I now have four: would you like me to send you one? Even if it doesn't fit Jamie, you could use it for a pattern.

I guess so. What size is she? Jamie's awfully dextrous - today he repeatedly got the screen door open even though it was "locked".

The old suits fit from a standard 18 mo. old to a standard 2T (where BunnyBright is now). By standard, I mean, of course, "sizing on Carters/Target/etc. kiddie clothes."

The Bunny's pretty dextrous too: She's unlocking our deadbolts (hence the new chain-lock installed - particularly vital since we got word of a cougar sighting in our neighborhood.) and she can't get out of these.

Send me your snail mail addy via my e-mail (my username-at-juno-com) and I'll mail you a spare. It can't hurt to give it a shot, and if it works, you'll be spared the post-bedtime yukkies.

Oh, he's definitely outgrowing a size 2 now.

We're working on toilet training him out of self defense. He's had lots of successes in the last two days, and is in training pants now. Hopefully things will get better.
