The ongoing househunt
Sep. 22nd, 2003 09:15 amWell, Karl spent the weekend twitching over the notion of a HOA. So it looks like FormerFavoriteHouse in Saginaw just went down the drain.
I went back to looking at the house in Crowley school district, wondering if I was going to end up doing diapers in my own washer to preserve Karl's libertarian principles. (Okay, I agree with him too. And no, I don't want to listen to that rant weekly, which would probably happen if we lived in a HOA. But... Sigh, it was a nice house...)
Then I noted that although it's Crowley school district, it isn't Crowley proper. So I emailed the diaper service with the precise address, and today got a response that yes, that's in their delivery area. So the Crowley house is back to likely.
Now if I can just get the move off. They told us Friday that packing and loading was going to be 2 days, not 1. We're trying to get them to do Tues/Wed, not Wed/Thurs. I really DON'T want to try to change all my hotel reservations - we're passing through two towns with big weekend activities going on, and it was hard to get those reservations, I don't know if I *could* get rooms on later days now.
Today and tomorrow Karl is up in El Segundo doing introductory paperwork with that part of Northrop. So if we get Tues/Wed, I have to juggle movers, kids, etc, by myself. With agonizing pregnancy sciatica. Shoot me now.
If I can just get through this week and get to Fort Worth, things should get better.
