Comparing the pics of Jamie with glasses and without, it *does* look like is eyes are focusing better. It's one of those things that I'd never have noticed, if I didn't have an "after" to compare it to.
Blue's Clues has a book about Magenta getting glasses, I think. I always liked "The Good Luck Glasses" though, but it might be a bit too old for him. In any case, when I got glasses, the way my mom kept them on me is by giving me activities that were almost impossible for me to do (successfully) without them. My own stubborness and need to have things perfect took care of the rest. I've had glasses since I was 6, if I remember correctly. Good luck with Jamie!
