knitting temptations

celticdragonflySigh. Maggie's dress has become a Black Pit project in my head. I haven't had enough time to work on it, it's just lots of mindless stockinette right now. But even what SHOULD be mindless knitting time, like watching a video with Karl, I'm not doing it often enough.
It's SO long... and I'm afraid the dress may end up too heavy. When I'm using the same amount of yarn skeins with the same weight per skein, I can't imagine HOW, but it feels SO heavy. I'm not sure what I'm going to do for the shoulder straps yet or will it hold it up well enough - I'm dreading sewing the elastic into the bodice - I'm just generally dreading it.
Sock yarn is calling my name louder and louder. And rationalizing that I *need* to get to it soon - I've promised a pair for bartering as part of the babysitting fee for FenCon...
