I am *tired*.

I just spent a bunch of time going through Michael's with a notebook searching for all the things on my VBS crafts shopping list, and noting down what I found and the prices, so I can write it all up, get it to the person in charge with the costs, find out what else she needs, and then later in the week when we have firmer numbers, go back and do a shopping run.

She wants me to shop there because we have a big discount coupon. I don't much like that one. Hobby Lobby will have more of what I want, I think. Some things I couldn't find at all. (T-shirts I can get cheaper online, even WITH the discount, and I can get my size)

It was frustrating to have to keep looking for the things on the list, not buy anything, and not get distracted by any of the things I'd be interested in or things I'd love to do with Maggie. I was under tight time pressure, and feeling tired.

Now I am going to rest for a bit.

I bet it would be possible to get a Hobby Lobby discount - they even play hymn muzac, for pete's sake!

However, Hobby Lobby is often cheaper than Michael's, anyway. I only end up at Michael's if I'm buying "good" paint brushes or artist's supplies. For example, silk flowers are cheaper at HL, and they often go on sale. Just for your own information, ya know.

Hope it all goes well.

I figure the fact that Hobby Lobby closes on Sunday means they're going to have more of what I want anyway.

I'll email my friend who works at Hobby Lobby shortly.

There is also Garden Ridge. Worth checking out.

Avoiding for stress reduction

Eh. I have been in Garden Ridge twice. Both times I disliked it very much. Big confusing warehouse style place, seemed badly organized, run by people who didn't care.

Well, yes, but I rather don't mind the warehouse setup. It allows me to wander and discover things I wouldn't otherwise. And in my 4 years of absence, the staff will have changed. I'm sorry you didn't have a good experience there. The prices generally outweigh the lack of congeniality, imho.
