getting by
Oct. 23rd, 2003 11:02 amI have a saint of a husband. He came home late last night - as I'd told him to go ahead and do, he's getting off early tonight so we can go have dinner with a friend having a layover at DFW airport - and kissed me. He solemnly agreed that both kids still alive was a good accomplishment on my part. And then he rounded them up and took them off to a local Chickfila for their dinner and time running around the play area, leaving me to eat a sandwich in peace, read a bit, and go to bed. What a wonderful man.
Didn't get the great night's sleep I wanted - I wasn't out yet when he came home, but fell asleep while he was jiggling Maggie to sleep at the computer - and was woke by a terrible crash and yowling. I'd left the platter with the last scraps of pot roast on the counter - and Karina apparently knocked it down and shattered it. Leaving cat blood splotches on the kitchen floor. We chased the various cats down, checked for injuries, Karina has a slice on her back left heel, but seems to be doing okay today. I put bacitracin on it, hope that works for her.
