digital camera advice?

celticdragonflyOkay, the old digital camera seems to have died as a result of the move trip. We need to get a new one - we'll want to send out pictures of the new baby really soon. (please, please, please make it soon...)
Anyone want to offer advice on what kind to get? I do want one that hooks up to the PC easily, preferably via USB port. Should be not too expensive, fairly easy to use. Hm, wonder if I can cannibalize the extra memory card from the old camera.
One annoying thing about the old camera I'd like to avoid is that you had to hold the button down a Long Time before it took a picture - which made life difficult once Maggie got mobile.
