One of the things about this pregnancy that gets frustrating is that I have to keep eating every few hours, whether I want to or not, or I start getting awfully sick.

A lot of times, I don't want to eat at all. But I have to.

But on the drink front - it's just amazing how much the Te Java helps. It tastes so good, and generally does a lovely job of soothing my stomach. I'm probably drinking way more of it than I should be. It's all unsweetened, though.

I'm about out again, though. I can only get it at Central Market. I wish I had a way to get it sent to me by the case!

EDIT: I found a review of Tejava, and I am amused:
Tejava is the Guinness of iced teas. The deep brown tea is robust, and it has the bite of a Doberman.
I did find a site that delivers it. Within the Los Angeles area. Cases available. They will send outside of LA via UPS, but recommend that you don't do it for glass bottles, which Tejava comes in. Bother.

Anybody know a beverage delivery service in the DFW metroplex that might have it? Honestly, this stuff saves my sanity.

The practical thing to do is to figure out what kind of tea they use. It would be easier to ship as a box of dry leaves.

No - that would require me to be more competent at tea brewing. I'm never happy with the iced tea I make myself. Always ends up kinda bitter.

Plus - well, here, read the whole review:
Tejava is the Guinness of iced teas. The deep brown tea is robust, and it has the bite of a Doberman. It's even microbrewed from tea leaves grown on the island of Java, and the label claims only the top two leaves of each plant are picked--hand-picked, of course. Intrigued, we contacted Crystal Geyser Brand Manager Shawn Fitzpatrick. He verified that yes, indeed, only the two uppermost leaves are plucked because the smaller the leaf, the better the flavor. This one's more for sipping and savoring than for quick guzzling satisfaction, and it's a good choice for tea purists annoyed by syrupy impostors. Pick up a lemon on the way to the checkout counter if you like it tangy.

Yah, I looked at that review. Cute. Well anyway, ask Birthday Claus for a "Mrs. Tea" gadget. It sounds downright silly for something you could do with hot water and a tea strainer, but it does brew perfect tea every time without a stopwatch.

I'm thinking that keeping you hydrated is A Good Thing, and so are Antioxidants. And maybe the mild stimulants so you can keep up with the children out there on the hoof!

My parents gave me the Mr. Coffee tea maker, I think that's the same thing you're saying.

Didn't work so good for me. Tea was bitter, still. If I made it with the ice the way the directions said, it was *incredibly* cloudy. And I managed to crack one carafe and melt the other within a few months. Sigh.

I'm hopeless.

What sort of tea bags did you use ? I've been using a Mr Coffee Tea machine for months now. No problems, no bitter that I can detect. I use Lipton or Biggeloe Earle Grey in mine. Of course I like my tea sweet, so large quantities of various sweeteners ( and a little over a quarter cup of lemon juice ) go into the pitcher for each batch.

Um. What DO I use?

/goes off and peers into the pantry.

Ah. Lipton, for iced tea. (I occasionally make iced herbal tea, but that's another matter)

Sometimes I think I should go for better tea bags - sometimes I think no, it's that I'm a bad tea maker, and it'd be a waste. Besides, I don't know what would be better tea bags for iced tea - usually Tea Snobs are all about cups of hot tea, which I can't drink.

I think the taste is much more of a sensitive thing for those of us who do not sweeten it. You're probably mostly tasting the sweeteners and the lemon.

I'm sure Central Market would sell you a case if you asked. I'm equally sure that you have a local friend who would bring it to you. (I would myself, but even by Texas standards, I'm not quite "local.")

And they will, I just have to wait a couple of days until they get a case in.

Mmm, tea :) I like mine strong enough to corrode the spoon! Hope you're doing well.
