Had another chiropractor's visit today. Continuing to have a lot of pain and troubles. I thought it was more sacrum/coccyx problems, she said it was hip. Asked if I had front pelvic bone pain. I didn't, until she started working with it. Now I do! She says part of my problem is that I have an unusually long coccyx. Oh joy, I have a tail. Goes right with that one ear that's pointed.

Darn it, now I am having a LOT of pain in the front of the pubic bone. Gah. Sometimes I feel like things got really screwed up and I need the help. Sometimes I start to wonder if chiropractors are all just a fraud, and she's doing stuff that will keep me in pain so I keep coming back.

They aren't all frauds, though some are. She helped you before, didn't she?

Well, did she? I keep having to come back. So I'm not sure.

About the only way to test the theory would be to peel some keywords out of her and Google, and/or find a second opinion source. O:/

This is generally why I don't trust chiropractors in the first place. They do all this painful stuff, then when you bitch about it hurting, they tell you it's necessary to "realign" you or whatever...then they want you to keep coming back for more "realignment." Sounds like a racket to me.

The thing is - they've made a difference for me before. The wonderful gentle woman who worked on me near the end of the last pregnancy - well, I went from terrible sciatic pain and could hardly climb stairs, to just about no pain and I could climb over baby gates again. And even this chiropractor has seened to help before. I don't know what to think.

Yep. That's why I don't even ever think about chiros.

I've got a friend who's a para, and she is absolutely against chiro for any reason. She's a heck of a lot more knowledgeable than I am about the spine and what happens when it gets screwed up, so... I like massage and some good liniment, but that's the limit of what I'll let anyone do on my back.

Wow. I can see why you'd be confused, then. To go from that level of pain relief to none must be highly frustrating.

I saw a really cool chair cushion in JC Penney's Outlet the other day, that I think might be able to help you. It looks like this, except the one I saw had a back as well. Don't know if you've looked at them yet, or if they'd help, but it made me think of you.

I have two like that, one on the kitchen chair, one in the car. Helps in the chair, not so sure if it helps in the car.
