Jul. 21st, 2005 02:49 pmI got a call from my doctor's office this afternoon. They have the report back, why yes, I do have a dislocated coccyx. They'd like to refer me to a specialist. I like the sound of this. The person that deals with their referrals is out until Monday, but I should be hearing from her early next week. Okay, sounds good to me.

It wouldn't hurt to have a back up plan and/or a source for a second opinion.

Date: 2005-07-21 10:46 pm (UTC)To me, yeah, it's a vestigial structure causing a problem, amputation sounds reasonable. I tend to have odd results for that - I had my adenoids out at 3, but still have my tonsils. So sure, keep the appendix and lose the coccyx.
If that happens, I'd have to jerk newbies' chains now and then, tell them that I used to have a vestigial tail, but it got dislocated and caused pain so they amputated. I'll have the scar to prove it. ;-P
