Swatching annoyance
Jun. 8th, 2007 03:34 pmOkay, so I started swatching for the Tulip baby cardigan. Worsted weight, uses 2 sizes of needles, wants a gauge of 4.5 stitches per inch on the larger size. I started with 7, what they recommended. That got 5 stitches per inch. So I frogged it out and started again on size 8. That got - 5 stitches per inch. Waitaminute. Grrrr.
That's annoying. Also, I don't think I even HAVE any size 9's. I've got a long size 10.5 circular...
I need to go upstairs shortly and hunt through my needles, and make sure I've gotten all of the old ones off the chaos that is my desk, but I think I'm going to have to go buy more needles before I can even continue swatching.
