Maggie started her first day of kindergarten today. I *hope* it goes okay. I still feel very uneasy about the whole thing. But hopefully my little social butterfly will enjoy it. Pics behind the cut.
Mine's first day is today, too. He seemed about equally nervous and excited when we dropped him off. I think it helped a lot that we'd met his teacher on Thursday night, seen his room, found his locker, etc. I just hope he's willing to come home at the end of the day ;)
It's amazingly quiet around here. I felt just a bit weepy, but I'm doing better now. Next week #2 starts two day a week day care as well.
Every mama has these fears the first day her baby goes to school. This is normal. Your first baby didn't have the standard school experience, so this is the first time you've experienced it.
I remember my first day of kindergarten. They brought us into this room full of toys, then wouldn't let us play with any of them for hours while they talked about stupid grownup stuff. Then, when when we were finally allowed to play w/ the toys, Michelle Becker hogged all the dolls. :D
