OMG I wanna GOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

I know I'm never gonna get to do something like that, but OMG it looks like so much fun. And I've been interested in a summer inside-passage Alaska cruise ever since bkseiver and rlseiver described theirs.

But what I really want is any knitting cruise.

So you come out here for it. We go to Port Townsend (lots of yarn stores) for a day, catch the ferry back. Next day, hit Ballard, Fremont, (Fremont has the Dusty Strings store), see the troll, hit other yarn stores.

You go on the cruise, have fun, come back, we go up to the San Juans, look at cool stores in small towns there, then you go back home.

I'm not helping, am I? :-)

Even assuming we totally discount the whole "but what do I use for money?" problem - who'd take over the kids? Especially the nursing one?

The nature of my job is a 24-7 one, and I don't get time off for good behavior.

We have a major schedule conflict, but I had read about this to Dad tonight, too. Sigh.
