I expect bkseiver will be annoyed with me again... when I was in high school she wanted me to take typing and I never did - just taught myself while regularly writing long letters.
Ah, I went from 68 to 70 to 76 words per minute, taking the test 3 times. But I clock about 390-404 characters per minute each time, which is a funny number to know!

Glad you have accomplished this. I, myself, did not take typing until business school. It paid the bills through your Dad's graduate school. Of course, his graduate fellowship was a significant help, too. VBG!
Sadly, it doesn't seem to be something that can easily be used for casual employment anymore. It does make me feel good about my skills, though. Linda, Miles' mom, had been commenting the other day that it sounded like I type really fast, from hearing me on the keyboard, but I thought oh, maybe that meant I typed 70-80 wpm!
