Saluting a man with a dream

celticdragonflyMaggie mentioned it was Martin Luther King Jr.'s real birthday today, I guess they told them that in school - so I dug up the video of the I Have A Dream speech and got her to watch it with me.
It's too long for her to really pay attention to. And thank goodness, she doesn't really have the background and experience to know why it was important. Heck, I don't have it firsthand. Thanks to the work of many brave dedicated people, Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. among them. But she saw it and heard it, and I talked to her about what he was about and what those people were struggling against, so that she can start to learn.
MY, he was a fine speaker.
