- Although I am not fluent in German by any means, nonetheless I have been known to slip into German occasionally for a few words.
- I grind my teeth in my sleep. I wish I didn't. It's caused problems. Right now it seems to be causing the growth of a bone spur, and I have to go see an orthodontic surgeon next week.
- Like my dad before me, I do mix up my kids' names. However, I almost always get the gender right. I end up mixing up Brendan's and Jamie's names, or Maggie's and Alanna's, but rarely across gender.
- I am not much for eating typical cooked vegetables. However, I adore salads, and have a lot of raw veggies I enjoy in them.
- It used to be that when I tried a new form of fiber arts, I'd be sure that I couldn't do it, that it would be too hard. Actually, this isn't just true for fiber arts, but many other things, too. Then I'd get into it, and find that I did well at it, and then I'd say oh, it's easy, it was no big deal.
selenite has been working hard to eradicate this quirk! I'm doing much better.
- Most of the time I am practical, pragmatic, and pessimistic - however, I have an impulsive, optimistic, and romantic streak underneath, just being held in check.
- Despite being an ordinary stay-at-home mom, I am developing an occasional alter-ego as a biker chick. (At the moment, just as a passenger. But I have dreams for the future.)
