We picked up my mother in law last night. The predicted "winter mix" storm - I was dreading freezing rain - didn't hit early, we just started getting rain sprinkles/flurries when we got home. This morning there's a couple of inches of snow on the ground, and it looks like we're living in a snow globe as more gently falls.

My poor MIL. She thought she was coming here to ESCAPE snow. Well, she still gets to play with cute grandkids. She and Maggie-baby and Karl went to Gymboree, Karl grumbling about driving in the snow. I hope they're fine.

I've got a sore throat and a cough. I may go back to bed for a bit. But I really owe it to Brendan to dress warmly later and take him out to play in the snow a bit.

Well, it started late Friday night, and was still snowing through Saturday morning. We had some melting Saturday afternoon, but there was still plenty of it Sunday morning. It warmed up a lot Sunday, and by Sunday afternoon there were only chunks and snow in isolated shady spots. But definitely longer than 12 hours.
