small pleasures

celticdragonflyGot myself the wooden-handled hairbrush I wanted. I'd wanted to get a set of hairbrush and wooden-handled mirror, but haven't been able to find a mirror like that. The wood feels good in my hand, and the bristles are just the right type I like, so it feels really good on my scalp, a double sensual pleasure. I have friends and acquaintances who get heavily into stuff like bath bombs and massage bars and gels and such, and I've never had the time or inclination for such, but this I'm enjoying. It's a little thing, but a nice one.
I also got myself flowers again at the Central Market. That's a guilty pleasure, but I'm doing it, as a self-treatment for the depression. A yellow rose and a stem of bluebonnets this time. Last time it was a stem of lilacs (I LOVE lilacs) and a lavender rose, the rose still has a bit of life to it.
