The horrors of Beethoven and Bach
Sep. 17th, 2007 09:11 pmWe went out earlier this weekend to buy various Baby Stuff. First priority was a larger carseat, since the one we had is rated up to 22 lbs. Karl found a carrier-style seat that goes up to 30 lbs, and isn't too short for her either, so yay. It's a LOT nicer than the old one. Hopefully this will get us to where she can sit up on her own.
We also got a mobile for her crib. Not that she spends a lot of time in her crib yet, but still. Tonight was the first time we played it for her - we put her in there while I folded laundry and Karl did storytime for the older two and then joined me.
Alanna was happily fascinated by the mobile. Karina was disturbed and fascinated by the mobile. Started out standing next to the crib, up on her hind feet, paws on the crib side, STARING. When she got in the crib with Alanna and started complaining at the mobile, I got the camera.
( photos of the saga )
This is one perplexed and dubious kitty.
I thought it might just be she didn't like Beethoven, but she felt the same way about Bach. She was seriously bothered by the mobile. I think it was actually the little sliding discs on the mobile arms. This is the mobile in question.
