Mama's model
Jul. 7th, 2004 09:44 pmHow I know I've been using Maggie to model and size the toddler socks I work on a LOT lately...
I'd finished the toddler socks, and before I picked up Version #3 on test knitting the child's version, I settled down to a few rows of mindless knitting, having gotten to the stockinette foot on Cloverleaf sock #2. Maggie came over to the couch and looked at what I was doing. "Socks!" she said. Yes, honey, I'm working on socks.
So she plopped down on her bottom, held her feet up to me, and said "Feet!"
Which is of course just what I'd said any time I'd wanted her to come let me try the toddler socks on her.
So, silly though it felt, I dutifully tried the cloverleaf adult socks on her. She looked so proud to be my good helpful little model.
I love her so.
