Grrrrr running out of yarn
Feb. 22nd, 2005 11:09 amLion Brand Magic Stripes yarn - available at Hobby Lobby, the only usable sock yarn that I don't have to order online or go to a specialty yarn shop for. And cheaper than other sock yarns, and nicer to the touch than that *^$%(&* Wildfoote I just recently suffered through (and am not buying again).
"One ball makes a pair of socks!" Apparently only true if you're a women's medium or smaller. I'm about to run out of yarn, just before I get to the toe reductions of the 2nd sock. GRRRR.
I suppose I'll end up buying another ball, finishing the sock, and then using the rest to make a pair of socks for Maggie or something.
But GRRRR!
I get SO tired of having to rewrite every sock pattern because I'm a woman's large. I get so tired of seeing posts about knitalongs go by that there's no point in me even looking at, because they're for sweaters and such, and I KNOW the pattern won't go up to my size. I've got a kit for a pair of summerweight cotton anklets that I want to start on next, and I'm afraid there won't be enough yarn there for my size. I am so TIRED of being my size. And it's not just weight, so nobody start pressuring me to lose weight - I could starve myself until I go psychotic and I wouldn't get size 7 feet.
GAH.
