Belatedly, Camilleri realized that in Narcissa's family alibis were, apparently, to be treated as the equivalent of socks: provided they fitted one could never, really, ever be given too many of them.
And yes, I'm working on my knitting as I read that. Not socks JUST at the moment... I'm reading online and working on this sweater as I hide from the serious side of things.
On the more serious side of things, Jamie is having a terrible awful no-good day. He's spending a lot of it HOWLING. Doesn't seem to be hunger or thirst. Doesn't seem to be getting his 2 year molars early or anything. He's just miserable. Wondering if he's having tummy troubles as an aftereffect of how we've all been so sick. selenite is giving him a bath now - I figure it might distract him at least, and he needs it. I'm enjoying the quiet.

Aug. 19th, 2005 09:37 pmAs promised, the scanned polaroid of Maggie and Brendan riding a cow together, ( click here for the picture )taken last Friday, 8/12, while we were visiting museums in the Stockyards district here in Fort Worth. That's selenite next to them. I'm out of the picture with Jamie in his stroller.
It isn't a very good picture, but it's what we've got. We sent the original off with Brendan.
(poor Jamie is VERY unhappy. We think it must be unhappy tummy. This is one HECK of a stomach bug we've been dealing with.)
