Stupid weatherbug
Mar. 18th, 2005 10:36 amI just took weatherbug off my computer. Hate to not have a program like that in Texas in the spring - but I am FED UP with it continually wanting to install updates and try to give me traffic reports and trying to drag up travel reports and all this hassle.
I want a quiet little program that sits there with a temperature display next to my time, lets me get the weather forecast when I click on it, and beeps at me for severe weather alerts. AND NOTHING ELSE. Basically, weatherbug without all the additional crap they kept pouring in. Anyone know of such a thing?

Date: 2005-03-18 07:34 pm (UTC)We have an actual weather radio from Radio Shack, and it's always turned on for alerts. I'd like to integrate weather band alerts into a whole-house intercom/stereo system, so no matter where we are, we get the signals.
It's not fun having a weather radio in the springtime in Texas, especially when you live on high ground and don't _care_ about the 50-11 flood warnings.
