Weekend update

selenite's off day, so we and the kids went to the Fort Worth Botanical Gardens again. Wandered the rose gardens, let the kids run around in a meadow, went back to the Japanese Garden and fed the fish again. We had a pretty good time.
Maggie saw 4 or 5 brides being photographed, and was quite determined that they were kings, Kings! Look, a king! The tiara and veil, you know. Although there was one that really looked more like one of those doll cakes, her skirt was sooo puffed out and fluffy. Oh, that's right, I was tellingselenite that and he wasn't familiar with those,
Saturday morning I had a knitting class on finishing techniques. Ended up being just me with the instructor/store owner. That was nice, because then we could do things like get to Kitchener stitch/grafting, confirm oh yeah, I know that, we can skip that. It was useful, I'm very glad I took it.
Then later that afternoon it was off to the Millerdome for the ORAC meeting. Much later that afternoon. Sigh. We left late and had various delays on the road and got there very late. Completely missed the meeting. But we did get to socialize with people we're fond of.
