New books I want

Exciting stuff happened tonight, the main parts of which I will write up, but probably won't have the energy to do until tomorrow.

However, as a side part of all this, we had a short trip to the bookstore. Two new books I covet.

Sensational Knitted Socks by Charlene Schurch. Oh, this is a cool book. I want it mostly as a teaching aid - I know lots of this stuff, but it would be helpful to teach others. Colored knitted samples showing the geometry/archetecture of various styles of knitting a sock. Oooh. And I do want the size charts! And there are stitch patterns I don't know yet. Organized neatly by repeat. Covet.

And, of course, Yarn Harlot : The Secret Life of a Knitter by Stephanie Pearl-McPhee. Have the first book, want the second. Because it'll be FUN.

Didn't get them yet. I've not been buying many books lately - okay, okay, I did get 2 sf paperbacks the other day - but they were on deep discount. Mostly I've been restricting myself to library books. But I do covet these. My wish list is getting out of hand.

Well, and what is Christmas for, silly? :) Seriously, I will keep these in mind. (Thank you so much for not making me guess. Though if I had to, I imagine I'd do better with you than with some others on my list.)

Well, see, that's one of the lovely things about the internet age. You have to guess less often - you can always search and see if somebody has an Amazon wishlist! :-P
