Heck, it was fun doing this for [livejournal.com profile] filkerdave and for [livejournal.com profile] kitanzi, so why not.

If you read this, if your eyes are passing over this right now, please post a comment with a COMPLETELY MADE UP AND FICTIONAL memory of you and me. It can be anything you want—good or bad—BUT IT HAS TO BE FAKE.

A girl, a boy, an African ant hill, and 200 lbs. of sweating dynamite.

Good times.

I remember our mutual squees of joy upon finding that box at the yard sale containing thirty skeins of good sock yarn; the whole box was $1.

We shouldn't have agreed to split it evenly, though. I never did figure out what to do with that 15th ball. I have it hidden away in case I ever meet a nice person with one amputated foot or leg that I want to make sock for.

Hey, remember when we first met?

It was at the very first FenCon a few years ago, and I had to tell you how much I enjoyed your performance as the Filk Guest of Honor. I think we ended up in some room party drinking that really great imported spiced whiskey and goosing all the Scottsmen in kilts that came through.

It all gets a bit blurry after that, but I have vague images of Larry Niven in the pool with a crown on his head.

Ah, yes, I recall the time we took you to the community gardens on N. Harrels Ferry Rd. You were supposed to be weading, but you were having such a good time that you pulled up all the fledgling carrots, too. Ever the perfectionist, you got every one. Honest. (fingers crossed)

I just loved how you got us tickets to the Serenity release party! We had such a great time partying with the cast...oh, did you ever get Joss Wheden's signature washed out of your cleavage?

No--I wouldn't let her wash until we could get her to a tatoo parlor. There was a nice shop in downtown FTW and it came out great. He even matched the purple ink Joss was using.

Sorry -- I was too busy playing with Maggie and Jamie to remember much of what was happening with the grownups.

I particularly remember that time that we were in California and it was snowing, but we were reading in the park anyway and watching your kids paint random passer-bys in bright colors.

That road trip to San Francisco to visit [livejournal.com profile] trolleypup, when I shaved off my beard and pasted it onto your face so that we could both dress in drag and "pass".

I swear, I will NEVER understand how you managed to bind up your 'vast tracts of land' well enough to pull that off. (I still feel sorry for that flock of poor, poor gayboys who were following you around drooling.)

Do you remember that day in Ms. Snelling's sixth grade science class, when Andrew W. accidentally set your hair on fire with the Bunsen burner, and David L. and I had to put it out with the emergency eyewash station?

You don't? That's funny... I don't either! :)

Heh. Andrew would have just died of embarrassment on the spot.

Then there was junior year science - can't remember who my lab partner was, just that I did my best to terrify him into doing all the glassware cleaning by being the Mad Reactomaniac.
