I'm all about kids making their own fun, and mine are doing a good job of it today.
Jamie invented his own game with the ComfyChair. They yank all the cushions off it quite regularly. Earlier Maggie and Jamie had been "building a house" with the cushions. Then he had the cushion that should be against your back down on the seat of the chair and was standing on it, and had the seat cushion propped up in front of it. He started a game where he'd stand up against the propped seat cushion, grab a hold of the top, lean forward until it overtipped, and riiiiiiide it down to the floor, landing on top of it as it hit the carpet. He'd stand up and say "oh yeah!", clap his hands, prop the seat cushion back up, and climb over the side arm of the ComfyChair to do it again. I tried and tried to get a picture of him on the arc down, but this camera is just too slow.
Maggie then invented her own game in which she was being a rainbow - which involved making an arch of herself.

Right now, Maggie is playing with a toy camera, and telling Jamie "say cheese pizza!" and making us giggle.

Date: 2006-09-03 07:39 pm (UTC)He's doing tolerably with the new glasses. He's stripped off the padding from the earpieces, but he hasn't actually broken them yet.
