It's good to have friends.

There are three songs I, for some inexplicable-even-to-myself reason, associate together. I Like It Like That, In The Summertime [1], and If You Want To Be Happy[2].

I've been trying to get them. I got the 2nd one. Now I have all three. Thanks, [livejournal.com profile] autographedcat.

Anybody have any idea of why I'd mentally group those three together?

Also, [livejournal.com profile] selenite has gone out, late though it is, to pick up my preferred breakfast food from the grocery store - I've been out for DAYS, and there wasn't any in the store Saturday.

My Queen-of-the-Universe meter has been significantly raised this evening.

[1] In the Summertime is a song that I find to be just absolutely morally repugnant but can't stop bopping to anyway, darn it.
[2] I've wanted that one for ages. Even if I can't much cook.

Obviously this is a different "In the Summertime" than the one I'm thinking of, which is the one Cedric sings that he translated into English. (BTW, I've now achieved a personal best (worst?): I recognize none of the songs being parodied by Weird Al on his newest CD, and only one of the songs in the polka medley...)

Is there a link to Cedric's?

Not that I can find, alas. It's recent enough that it's not on any of their albums.
