Well, I didn't do color work. This was me going out on a limb to stretch myself in a new way to do something special for Alanna.
I suspect if you saw it up close you'd be pointing out to me all the places that it puckers. But - it was better than I feared. I found various bits of good hints along the way, and I even think I may try more of this.
Heh. When I was in college, I did a cross-stitch for my father - a design with a map-shape of Michigan (where I was, and where he'd gone to grad school and had me) with birds and such winging over it. Before I sent it to him, I had it professionally framed, with the back of it totally covered. Not that the back of my work was poor - it was pretty good. But I knew that as soon as Mom saw it, she would automatically flip it over to see how good the back was. And I wanted them to look at the front!
