So I just called the Austin milk bank and signed up as a potential donor. I've done this before - donor to a friend after Brendan was born, then to the San Jose milk bank after Maggie was born, plus providing milk for another lady who'd had the same midwife and needed extra milk to get her baby through her surgery period. I like doing it. It gives me a feeling of accomplishment. I may not have much money for charity, but what I can give is so valuable.

Anyway, I have 6 bags in the freezer already. Turns out they'd prefer I didn't use the bags, actually, would prefer glass jars. Agh, and we threw out all of those babyfood jars! Darn. At the moment, since I took antihistimines yesterday, I'm pumping and dumping. (It's almost enough to make me cry - except, of course, it would be no use. ;-) )

I also need to replace some of the equipment on my pump. It went to only one side working, and not well at that. I managed to narrow it down - the problem is in the tubing. I suspect That Damn Cat has been chewing on the tubes. Agh. So I need to replace them, and then go to zipping up the bag between uses.

Do they have to be glass jars? I have a bazillion plastic specimen jars (all with a little sticky-tab to show that they're sterile and neveropened) from when I was pumping. Want them? PLEASE?

I have emailed the milk bank to ask if those are okay. I hope they say yes.

I don't remember - where are you? Aren't you up north somewhere?

But I can ship them. They're light, and we have more boxes than we know what to do with. (And we ordered, like, a couple hundred of them, since that's about the minimum that they'd do and they were cheap enough.)
