Muppet silliness
Mar. 23rd, 2004 09:52 pmSo we recently got one of the Muppet DVDs, which includes one of my favorites, with Harry Belafonte. [1] And I'm very pleased about this.
Last night we were talking about the Muppets, and I told
selenite that Brendan was clearly the Swedish Chef. We agreed thet
selenite is Bunsen Honeydew. As the harried one in the middle trying to make sure everything gets done, I'm Kermit. And Maggie is clearly Miss Piggy. We'll have to wait and let Jamie grow up a bit and then he can audition for his part.
[1] I love the Harry Belafonte number Turn the World Around with the cool African mask muppets. I'd adapted a piece of that as a circle chant years ago. We found out the local CUUPS group had a chant workshop after their last business meeting, which we missed, and I was kinda wondering if I'd have enjoyed it (that or been horrified), and thinking about sharing the chant. We could just see it: "Where did you get that?" "Oh, the Muppet Show". That would have gone over pretty strangely.
